Round/Oval Built In T-Handle
Text Box: The Baier Flush Hatch with a built in T-Handle is available in 20” round and 15”x24” oval (clear opening diameter). All Baier Hatches use the patented strongback system of securing the hatch cover to the deck. It is superior to other more complicated hatch closure systems because it is simple (only three moving parts), it is stronger, it is more reliably watertight, and it is more easily serviced (parts are readily available and replaced in the field). Each hatch has an underside escape turning bar for safety. A turning wheel is optional. The deck ring is available in galvanized mild steel (for welding into steel decks), or cast aluminum (for welding into aluminum decks or bolting to fiberglass or wood decks). Coamings are optional.
